The Director General of the National Directorate of Employment, H.E. Silas Agara, showered commendations on the Founder of the Aliyu Bello Charity Foundation, Alhaji Aliyu Bello PhD, for his camaraderie and outstanding philanthropic efforts that enabled the less fortunate to celebrate Christmas without hardship.
Agara made this statement during a Christmas visit from Aliyu Bello who pay homage to him at his residence in Akwanga.
For several decades, the Aliyu Bello Charity Foundation has been championing commendable humanitarian initiatives aimed at providing a sense of belonging to the underprivileged, especially during festive seasons.
In keeping with this vision, prior to Christmas, Aliyu Bello was prominently featured in the media for expanding his usual support to over one thousand Christian women with cash donations and wrapped gifts.
Expressing his gratitude for this generosity, Director General Silas Agara described Aliyu Bello as a detribalized Nigerian and a unifier of different religious beliefs, noting his visible commitment to benevolence. Agara emphasized that such generous gestures serve to mitigate religious divides among followers of various faiths.
Agara stated that if all leaders emulated Aliyu Bello’s example and refrained from judging people based on primordial and parochial sentiments, it could significantly address the discrimination that undermines national unity.
On his part, Aliyu Bello expressed his congratulations to Silas Agara on his successful leadership and the peaceful Christmas celebration. He commended Agara’s transformative leadership as Director General of the National Directorate of Employment for establishing a platform that is positively impacting the lives of unemployed Nigerians, urging him to continue representing Nasarawa State effectively at the Directorate.
